Joining Helion as Computational Science Manager
Today, I am thrilled to share that I am starting a new chapter as Computational Science Manager at Helion.
The mission is bold: harness the physics that powers the stars and use it to create clean, reliable energy here on Earth.
For much of my career, I’ve used simulations to understand some of the most extreme plasmas in the universe: black holes, jets, and accretion flows. Now I’ll be applying that same physics much closer to home to one of the most important engineering and scientific challenges of our time.
I am grateful for the years I spent in academia, for my students and collaborators, and for everything that path taught me. I’m also thrilled to join Helion’s talented team of scientists and engineers at such a pivotal moment.
Let’s go change the future of energy.
🇧🇷 Hoje, tenho a enorme alegria de compartilhar que estou iniciando um novo capítulo como Gerente de Modelagem Computacional na Helion.
A missão é ousada: criar uma pequena estrela aqui na Terra para produzir energia limpa e confiável.
Durante grande parte da minha carreira, usei simulações para compreender alguns dos plasmas mais extremos do universo: buracos negros, jatos e discos de acreção. Agora, aplicarei essa mesma física muito mais perto de casa, num dos desafios científicos e de engenharia mais importantes do nosso tempo.
Tenho muita gratidão pelos anos que passei no meio acadêmico, por meus alunos e colaboradores e por tudo o que essa trajetória me ensinou. Também é uma enorme satisfação integrar a talentosa equipe de cientistas e engenheiros da Helion em um momento tão decisivo.
Vamos juntos transformar o futuro da energia.
